Therapy approach.
My practice is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, integrating aspects of acceptance, deep empathy, compassion, and authenticity. I know what it’s like to be where you are, and know that if you’re coming to someone for help, you want them to be a real human with you. I show up as my authentic self with my clients, while offering powerful and results-oriented interventions grounded in research to enhance the lives of adults, young adults, and teens (12+).
I’ll be honest with you from the start… therapy is hard work, and working hard is often the last thing we want to do when we’re feeling depressed or anxious. However, if you’re tired of feeling stuck and are ready for change, I can help get you there by providing you with scientifically proven psychological tools that will help you feel better (really feel better). With practice, the skills you’ll learn in therapy with me can lead to longstanding changes that drastically improve your quality of life typically in just a few months or less.
My main objective as your therapist will be to help you to accomplish the following:
Learn how to change your thinking and the way you feel. (This will help you learn how to have control over your thoughts and feelings no matter what life throws your way.)
Overcome your fears— the ones that are holding you back from truly living the life you want.
Develop total acceptance and self-compassion so that you can stop beating yourself up with self-criticism.
Create deeper, more meaningful, and authentic connections with others.
Feel confident to face challenges on your own even after our time together in therapy ends.
I might be an expert in CBT, but you are the only one who is an expert on your life experiences... Let’s work together to turn things around.
